My friend, Rylie Guentensberger, died tragically in an unusual accident. Rylie and her mom were shopping for new running shoes at a running store in Parker, CO. Rylie was hit by a car that drove into the store. She was found under the car and not breathing. First responders gave her a fighting chance by performing CPR for nearly ten minutes. After 28 days of fighting for her life in a coma, Rylie sadly passed away.

 

Rylie was such a kind, giving person. She was always looking out for others. Rylie was also very athletic and sporty. She always wore sporty headbands and she also loved flowers. I decided to make a sporty headband in honor of Rylie. I chose the lotus flower as my logo because it represents purity, prosperity and love which describes Rylie’s personality perfectly.  

 

100% of my proceeds go to a foundation that Rylie's mom and dad started called Rylie’s ARK. (acts of random kindness) Rylie was full of love and always wanted to make others happy. She made a huge impact on her friends and the community. Rylie's ARK is committed to organically spread kindness through random acts both big and small. Rylie's parents were inspired by Rylie to live life putting others first and spreading happiness. Through the foundation we hope to help individuals and families in time of need, sponsor scholarships to summer camps, sports and much more!
